This piece Is one of my favorite J.”NeonDragon”Peffer drawings. Dragons, The Phoenix, Wyverns, Chimeras, etc; They’re all depicted in most cultures, so Jessica tries to be different in styling her beasts. I try to be original, but using her techniques alone gave me a new perspective in dragon art, so for me, its hard NOT drawing like her. I’ve been doing research on dragons lately, exploring different stories and myths that took hold in people’s flesh back in the day. There were some really gruesome and interesting “happenings” told in vibrant detail, Tales similar to Beowulf in many instances, but what’s to say that dragons didn’t exist? People said the same thing about the platypus, yet it appeared several years after. And then, people ask “Then why haven’t we found a dragon yet?”. Its called extinction - example: the dodo bird (lol). I’m not saying “Yes, dragons exist for sure”, but there’s a strong possibility. Dang, maybe they even breathed fire. It could be possible, with a fireproof lining covering the inside of its jowls and everything else in its body, and ignited with chemicals created in special glands. Dragons don’t necessarily have to be related to magic, because that’s what makes them seem myth-like. They could have been survivors of the Jurassic period.
